Terms of Use
These terms cover what you can expect from veganfood.ie and what we expect from anyone who uses the site, claims a listing or submits content. Plain English — no legalese padding.
What this site is
veganfood.ie is a free, Ireland-focused editorial guide and directory covering vegan and vegan-friendly restaurants, cafés, shops, brands, products and events. We are an independent publisher. We are not affiliated with any restaurant chain, supermarket, brand or government body unless explicitly stated.
Accuracy of information
We work hard to keep restaurant menus, opening hours, addresses, product availability and prices accurate. Despite that, things change — restaurants close, menus rotate, supermarkets stop stocking products, festivals reschedule. We cannot guarantee that every detail on the site is up to date at the moment you read it.
Before you travel to a specific venue, please confirm directly with them. If you spot something that needs correcting, email corrections@veganfood.ie and we will update within 48 hours.
Restaurant and business listings
We publish listings in three ways, as set out in the How We're Funded page: editorial inclusion, free claimed listings, and (in future) paid premium tiers.
- Inclusion in an editorial guide is not paid placement and cannot be bought. Premium listings, if and when launched, will be visually marked.
- If you own a venue that appears on the site and want the listing edited or removed, email listings@veganfood.ie. We will action a removal request within 7 days.
- By submitting your business via the listing form you confirm you are authorised to do so on behalf of the business and that the information is accurate.
Reviews and ratings
Ratings shown on listings are aggregated from public sources (Google, TripAdvisor, the venue's own site) at the time of writing, alongside our editorial assessment. We do not host user reviews on veganfood.ie at this time.
Affiliate links and sponsored content
Some product guides may contain affiliate links. If you click through and buy, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. We label sponsored content clearly at the top of the article. Read more in How We're Funded.
Acceptable use
By using veganfood.ie you agree not to:
- Scrape the site at high volume in a way that disrupts service for other readers (reasonable, attributed use of public data is fine — please ask if in doubt).
- Submit fake business listings or impersonate a venue you do not own.
- Use any of our editorial copy, photos or directory data on another site without written permission and a credit + link back.
Copyright
Editorial copy, images shot by us, the veganfood.ie name and the directory schema are © veganfood.ie and may not be republished without permission. Logos, menu data and photos contributed by venues remain the property of those venues.
Liability
veganfood.ie is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by Irish law, we are not liable for any loss arising from reliance on the information on the site — including but not limited to allergens, dietary suitability, opening hours, pricing or product availability. Always read full ingredient lists for serious allergens. If you have a severe allergy, confirm directly with the venue or manufacturer before consuming.

Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above will change when we do.
